The Barlow Foundation delivers grants to charitable organisations that seek to foster self-reliance and self-empowerment in women and children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We believe that by improving the capacity of individuals to be able to help them selves out of disadvantage then long-term change is more likely to be the outcome, not only for the individual, but for the community and also for future generations.

Therefore the foundation supports organisations whose projects focus on systemic change, self-empowerment and opportunity creation through education programs.  We define education as the formal and informal acquiring of knowledge, skills, values and habits.
